SABBATICAL NOTES. 16 JAN 2014 N2

WE HAVE IT ON NPR, this news about children as young as six being used for international child pornography via the Internet.

Eleven people have been caught, nine of them in the Philippines, the news says.

The children are impoverished, and some of whose who 'use' them for this syndication of live sex on the Internet are their relatives.

A child as young as six should have the freedom to imagine a beautiful world, and make her freedom come true by playing games she wants to play with other children of the same age.

A child of six must be in school and learning the sounds of her language, the word of her world, the phrase of her dream, and the sentence of that future she would like to have.

There is this urgency to make the DSWD people look into this thing, and the law enforcement people too.

This is not a joke.

Think of these six year-old children as your own and you realize this is not a laughing matter.

National Public Radio has picked this up for two days.

This must be serious--if the Philippines know what 'serious' means.

It does not even know what democracy is except during elections when votes are democratized.

And the giving of the 'pasuksok' too.
