SABBATICAL NOTES. 27 JAN 2014 N3
Or, re-reading 'Nikita,' and the Philippine condition. Or, how to lobotomize the minds of the peoples of the Philippines using the ideological state apparatuses.

With all the problems of the Philippines, we need to sit down and for real, define these problems one at a time.

I take issue with education, for instance.

I take issue with language education, with its reference to a state that is bent on making us all homogenized, one, never plural.

The reality in the field is the exact opposite: heterogenous, many, plural.

There are two choices for the Philippines: one of freedom, and thus aligning all the ideological state apparatuses along freedom, and nothing else.

Two, aligning all ISA to un-freedom, and making us dreaming of peace and quiet and prosperity, the dream without reason, the dream illogical, the dream irrational until it become phantasmagoric, fantastic, an illusion, a delusion of grandeur.

Currently, we are dreaming.

And this dream has been going on for so long a time.
